2007-05-21 / Hi there. Nice website, it brings back many happy memories. Two comics that you don’t appear to have listed are Attack and Sky Riders. Both were English language (not sure where they were published) and were sold here in Australia. Attack was published by the same people who did one called Battleground (I think it is different to the one listed in the Italian section of the Stats page). As for Sky Riders I think it only lasted about 10 issues and while the logo on the cover consisted of the tail of a modern jet air-liner the issues I had all related to WW2 air war. All the best, Mark.

- Thanks for the feedback, IŽll have to look into this. MIKE

2006-06-20 / Hello Mike. I just thought I'd write and congratulate you on your new look website, and offer a few more of my thoughts on Commando. You may remember I emailed you last year with a few bits of Commando information. I thought your old site was good, your new one is even better! I've really enjoyed reading the interviews with the Commando writers, and especially the interview with David Whitehead. I was interested in the guidelines for writing for Commando which David mentions he received from the Commando editorial office. This may not be possible, but I think it would be a great addition to your site if you could get a copy of these guidlines so that readers can see how stories are structured from the beginning. I know that DC Thomson may not be willing to allow these guidlines to be published. If this is the case, would it possible to ask any writers in future interviews a bit more about them? Also, I've always been interested to know whether Commando writers need to have an excellent knowledge of all weapons, vehicles and equipment in their story, or whether this detail is added by an expert at a later date. I imagine it would be very hard to have a knowledge of everything from all periods which they write about. On a similar theme, do the Commando artists have any standard reference books which they work from to ensure that uniforms and equipment are accurate? Or are the artists specialists in their field so they would not need this information? I have learned so much from your interviews already. But as you know, the more you find out, the more you want to know! Thanks again for a great site. Regards, James Fisher.

- Good feedback, maybe we can answer these questions in time. MIKE
